To change an employee’s work schedule, you must first perform a data lock. Afterward, you can assign a new work schedule to the employee or modify the current one.
To perform a data lock, left-click on the last day the old working hours apply in the employee’s time tracking calendar. In the context menu that appears, select “Lock Data.” The locked data will be highlighted in blue in the calendar and will not be affected by any changes to the assigned work schedule. Ensure that the locked data is complete, as incomplete data cannot be locked. Once locked, the data cannot be edited.
You can then assign a new or updated work schedule to the employee through the employee settings. This new schedule will only apply to the unlocked data.
